Mount Everest is approximately 29,000 feet tall. If it rained (at a constant rate) for 40 days, so that the water level reached this high by the end, it must have risen by about 725 feet a day, which is about 30 feet an hour or 6 inches a minute... so basically, this rain would have to be (on average) 50 times heavier than the heaviest rainfall on record (in one minute!!)
Not only does this sound totally ridiculous, but more importantly you could not breathe in rainfall this heavy. Noah and his animals would have died along with everyone else!

That'll be the only time I'm going to be chasing you.

Well, I have no more internet. Using phone at the moment. So until I can come up with $99 to reinstate the internet, I'll be gone.
What I 'Believe' ...
For me, what I believe is a consequence of my understanding of the facts, and it is obligate. Meaning that, if you show me information that is contrary, that proves my position wrong, then my mind has to change and I have no choice in the matter.
Which is contrary to many religious believers, where we're talking about somebody who has chosen to believe. It's like what Mark Twain said, "Faith is believing what you know ain't so." Or Friedrich Nietzsche, "Faith: not wanting to know what is true." I personally think both of those statements are correct. That faith is make-believe, not just belief.
Now, some believers might have been brought up
